Branches
ICME operates through a series of regional branches and sections all of which arrange technical and social events through the year. Upon joining, all ICME members are assigned to a branch, usually the one closest to their home or place of work.
The branches are run by volunteer members and all Members can be as involved as they want to be - as a member you do not have to attend branch/section events, although if you do this will count as CPD credits. (What is CPD? - go to the Training and Education section of this website for more information on CPD).
Regional technical programmes are operated as part of ICME, whilst the extensive regional social calendar is operated through the Institute's learned society - the Institute of British Foundrymen.
