 Melting Department Supervisor Our client is a leading manufacturer to the Steels / Metals industry
The Role
Reporting into the Foundry Manager, the role of Foundry Supervisor involves organising the production, planning, and labour requirements within the melting shop for a busy foundry. The role will require managing a team of 15-20 skilled foundry production personnel to improve the output, OEE, scrap rates and safety within the foundry.
Typical duties would also include attending morning production meetings, organising the labour to suite the production plan, ordering any consumable items required (stopper rods etc) and problem solving melting issues.
Person Specification.
Ideally qualified to NEBS/ILM in supervisor management, as a Foundry Production Supervisor / Melt Shop Team Leader you will have a depth of experience in supervising the casting process in a Steel or Iron foundry ideally with induction furnace exposure.
You will have strong leadership skills and have a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Having a flexible approach to work and be able to lead a team, with excellent planning and structuring skills, you will be self motivated and have the ability to drive others to take on new methods of working.
