Rapid Shell Build for Investment Casting

Following the Scottish Branch AGM in November Dr Samantha Jones from the University of Birmingham gave a presentation entitled ‘Rapid shell build for investment casting’.

Sam started by giving a presentation on the capabilities of the university’s casting centre, including the fact that the centre is capable of providing full-scale prototype contracts.

Sam went on to give an excellent presentation offering an insight into how she developed the material and of the considerable time saved in the build up, which in turn leads to cost savings for customers.
