Minutes of the Institute’s Annual General Meeting 2010

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday 15th May 2010 at The Holiday Hotel, Bromsgrove which commenced at 12.30 pm and was attended by 22 members.
A number of apologies were received.

It was agreed that a proper notice convening the meeting had been circulated in April 2010.

The Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held at the National Metalforming Centre, West Bromwich, on 16th May 2009 were taken as read and were signed by the President as a true record of the meeting. The members present approved the Annual Report of the Council for the previous session 2009, along with the Annual Accounts for 2009. The report of the Technical Board was also approved.

The ICME Awards for 2010 were approved.

On a proposal by Dr William Griffiths, which was seconded by Mr Steve Bell, Mr Patrick Helly was elected President for the coming session 2010-2011.

On a proposal by Mr Tim Baron, which was seconded by EurIng Andrew Turner, Mr Steve Bell was elected Senior Vice President for the coming session 2010-2011.

On a proposal by Mr Peter Nix, which was seconded by Mr Patrick Helly, Mr Ian Young was elected Junior Vice President for the coming session 2010-2011.

On a proposal by Mr Patrick Helly, which was seconded by Mr Steve Bell, Mr David Fletcher was appointed Hon Treasurer for the coming session 2010-2011.

On a proposal by Mr Patrick Helly, which was seconded by Mr Steve Bell, Cox & Co. were elected Auditors for the Institute for the 2010-2011 session.

It was announced that the following people had been elected to serve on the General Council for a period of two years: Mr T Baron, Mr A Fox, Mr D Millington, Mr M Newby, Mr P Nix, EurIng S Smith, Mr K Southwick, EurIng A Turner, Mr J Willetts & (Mr I Young). There was one vacancy.

On a proposal by Dr William Griffiths and seconded by Mr Steve Bell, the ICME membership subscriptions fees were approved for 2011.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 12.48 pm.
