Improving recruitment and retention activity is being delivered on 15th & 16th June 2022 at The ECMS, National Foundry Training Centre.

Currently recruitment is an issue the industry is facing across the world, combined with retention of highly skilled individuals, ICME and The Cast Metals Federation have acknowledged this and have designed a 2-day short course to help address some of these issues.

Our practical 2-day Improving Recruitment Activity and Retention course is designed to develop integral individuals involved in all stages of recruitment and retention. Recruitment, selection, retention and development of staff is pivotal to the success of any business. With the whole process being a costly activity, marking a significant period of investment, there has never been a better time to ensure retention of the right staff to help the business thrive. Increasing the knowledge of all of those involved has never been more imperative.

Post the Covid pandemic, employers are facing some of the most challenging workplace changes in our lifetime, with recent figures showing more than 1 million job vacancies, which is an all-time high. To further intensify the situation employees are looking to leave current jobs to pursue a better work-lifestyle balance and increased financial and wellbeing packages. We understand that the direct and hidden costs associated with recruitment and retention are impacting businesses within the industry, as we face difficulty in finding the next generation of employees of all skills and abilities for the casting and supply industry, not to mention the challenges of succession planning for senior manager and leadership positions.

This course is a must for anybody who has an active role in designing and creating recruitment strategies and policies including those working in, HR, Recruitment, Resourcing, Talent, Learning, Development and Training departments as well as leaders and managers who are involved in interviews and inductions. Foundry Training Trust grant support will be available† towards the cost of the course. A grant of £225 is available towards the fees for this course.
