Manufacturing engineering courses have a long and distinguished record at Sandwell College.

Most engineers still refer to the Engineering Department as Chance College which emanates from the famous association the college had with the Chance Brothers in Smethwick.

The Engineering department has come a long way from those days and prides itself in offering courses which reflect the fast changing ways of engineering manufacture. This is reflected in the resources: modern CNC, CMM and AUTOCAD facilities complying with industry standards. further courses are under develepment in CNC, rapid prototyping and 3D laser scanning and modelling.

Please contact the college for more information or Tim Baron at ICME for a general discussion about educational programmes available.
