Mr Richard A. Baker BSc CEng FICME, has received his Gold Pin for 50 years membership of the Institute.
Mr Baker has spent many years in the foundry industry and says “My years in the foundry industry were some of the most challenging and yet rewarding parts of my professional life, especially as a Director of Dartmouth Auto Castings from the age of 30. (At the time the biggest independent foundry company in Europe). I also have fond memories of my time at Qualcast (Derby Foundries) Ltd. Sadly these companies no longer exist.”
