On Monday 9th January more than 40 attendees gathered at Churchill’s Club, in Wednesbury, for the annual Bill Rooker Quiz, which this time was kindly devised and compered by Simon Alexander (Managing Director of William Lee Ltd) and hosted by the West Midlands Branch of ICME.

Four interesting, and really quite challenging, rounds of science and history-based questions tested the ability of teams of four people in a close-run competition, which was ultimately won by team ‘Head Office’ with 77 points.  Team ‘Castings Plc’ was second with 70.5 points and ‘The Smiths’ finished in third place with 70 points.

The event was sponsored by Bathgate Silica Sand and attendees were able to enjoy a buffet and a chat over a drink during the evening.  The branch would like to thank everyone who supported the event.
