The CMF / ICME staff and friends team were victorious in the recent annual Bill Rooker quiz, which took place during January, organised by the ICME West Midlands Branch.

The annual event is a memorial to Bill Rooker who, for many years, was Quizmaster at the event.   Simon Alexander FICME kindly offered his services as the Quizmaster for the Branch, setting the questions for 10 teams, each of 4 people.

There were 4 rounds, with a total of 100 points available, and teams could choose a round to ‘play their joker’ to have the chance of doubling their score for that round. The rounds covered the topics of Units of Measurements, Geography, History and General Knowledge which all had foundry theme to them.

A great night was had, with all the teams enjoying a drink and buffet, and the evening was generously sponsored by Bathgate Silica Sand Ltd.
