The recent South of England Branch Dinner was a lovely event held at the fabulous National Liberal Club in London.  For the first time since start of the Covid pandemic, Members from the Branch and further afield, together with guests, were able to enjoy a convivial dinner, followed by drinks on the outside terrace overlooking the Thames Embankment.

After a toast to ICME, Members were able to have a short update on the change of the name of the Branch (from the London Branch) as well as some information on the industry training and apprentice activities.  It was noted that ICME needs to ensure that Members from around the country are able to join in any and all ICME events; the virtual nature of many of the technical seminars can help to ensure accessibility regardless of geography.  Finally there was a discussion about the plans for a branch technical seminar to be held in the autumn.

Past National President and former Branch President John Townsend FICME, noted that whilst this might have been the last branch dinner held at the National Liberal Club it was certainly not the end of the branch activities.
