On Saturday 17th May 2025 190 guests attended the ICME National Annual Black-Tie Banquet organised by the ICME Northern Branch held at Oulton Hall Hotel & Spa in Leeds.
Guests danced the night away to Electric Idols.
ICME National Junior Vice President Simon Alexander FICME , welcomed members and guests to the Banquet . The guests for the evening were Anthony Evans FICME CEng, ICME National President, Andrew Laing FICME, ICME National Senior Vice President , Wendy Bennett FICME, ICME West Midlands Branch President, and Simon Forrester MICME, CEO of the Cast Metals Federation, together with their partners.
Anthony Evans FICME CEng, ICME National President was invited to speak , Anthony spoke about the challenge of the falling membership of the Institute and the need to attract new members, Anthony talked about the work that was taking place in the background to attract new members to the Institute.
In summary, Anthony said ‘ICME faces many challenges not dissimilar to other members organisations. As President i have witnessed the exceptional support from many individuals and organisations that are fully committed to ICME and the development of ICME members’.
‘We must ensure that ICME remains flexible and responsive to economic and global market pressures, and ensure our members are kept fully abreast of the challenges and opportunities for support’.
Anthony thanked his fellow Officers, Trustees, the staff at head office and our Members for their support for his term in office, to be assured of his continued commitment to the ICME and to Andrew Laing for his year in office.
